Dearsan Shipyards launched the construction of the new generation mine countermeasure vessels (MCMV) for the Turkish Navy with the steel cutting ceremony.

HaberDenizde reported that Dearsan has officially started the construction of the new MCMVs featuring UUVs and USVs. Dearsan will build two of the new generation ships.

The ships will carry two shallow water UUVs, two multi-purpose UUVs, and single/multi-shot (Likely referring to expendable) UUVs from STM and two mid-water UUVs from ASELSAN. It is understood that the NETA family of STM and the DERİNGÖZ family of ASELSAN will be used, while the imagery so far depicts the use of two MARLIN USVs fitted for MCM missions.

Dearsan has also joined the multi-shipyard effort to build more Hisar-class OPVs based on the MİLGEM Ada-class corvettes. The first two ships were built by ASFAT, while the others will be contracted to multiple shipyards to speed up the building process, as has been done with the I-class frigates.
