Otokar announced the Public Disclosure Platform (KAP) to state that General Manager Ahmet Serdar Görgüç, who has been serving for OTOKAR since 1985, will be stepping down from his position due to retirement as of March 31, 2024. Görgüç will continue to serve on the Board of Directors.
Otokar has also indicated that "Mr. İbrahim Aykut Özüner has been appointed as the General Manager position effective April 01, 2024, which became vacant due to Mr. Ahmet Serdar Görgüç’s retirement.”
Serdar Görgüç is the name behind the Cobra 4X4 multi-purpose armoured vehicle that became one of the company’s best-selling products. The success of Cobra led Otokar to produce Cobra II along with Altay MBT, Tulpar, Tulpar S, Kale, Kaya, Akrep, Akrep II, ARMA armoured vehicles and recently an unmanned ground vehicle.
İbrahim Aykut Özüner was TürkTraktör Company Leader, and TurkTraktör is a joint venture by and between Koç Holding and CNH Industrial.
