HAVA SOJ, Turkiye’s new stand-off electronic warfare aircraft based on Global 6000, was photographed during a test flight with its equipment integrated.
Turkish Air Force’s upcoming HAVA SOJ stand-off jammer aircraft was spotted in flight with its equipment integrated, signalling that the aircraft is being prepared for the Turkish Air Force.
HAVA SOJ’s development was initiated with the goal of providing four new dedicated stand-off jammer aircraft capable of performing electronic support and attack functions against radars and communications.
Bombardier’s Global 6000 business jet is used the platform for HAVA SOJ. Global series aircraft have been widely used as a basis for other support aircraft types including AEW&C and intelligence.
While HAVA SOJ has made significant progress, the work is also ongoing for the UAV SOJ programme, which covers the development of electronic warfare variants of AKINCI and AKSUNGUR UCAVs. AKINCI UCAV is expected to be an electronic attack-focused platform with its higher power generation, while AKSUNGUR is understood to lean on electronic support with its high endurance.
