Greek President Katerina Sakellaropoulou attended a ceremony at the Salamis Naval Station, where the 105-meter-long donation ship “Perseas” joined the Hellenic Navy.
Greek shipbuilder Panos Laskaridis donated his fifth ship to the Hellenic Navy. After the training ship “Kyknos” and the general support ships “Atlas,” “Heracles,” and “Aias,” this is the fifth donation to the Greek Navy. The fifth and largest ship is named “Perseas.”
The Chief of General Staff, Vice-Admiral Dimitrios-Eleftherios Kataras PN, the Chief of the General Staff of National Defence, General Dimitrios Houpis, and the Minister of National Defence, Nikolaos Dendias, attended the ceremony.
