How did Israel assassinate Haniyeh?

U.S.-based New York Times claimed that an explosive device assassinated Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh covertly smuggled into a guesthouse. The daily claimed that Israeli intelligence hid the bomb approximately two months ago. Unlike previous claims of an aerial attack, the daily states that the bomb was detonated remotely once it was confirmed that he was inside his room at the guesthouse.

It is understood that Haniyeh preferred the same room at his every visit to Tehran. The daily’s claim brings a new question to mind: Has Israel first assassinated former Iranian President Reisi, and the second step the assassination of Haniyeh, or did Israel envisage that there would be a new presidential inauguration in two months and set a trap for Haniyeh?
