TUSAŞ’s Hürjet advanced trainer jet will perform this morning its first supersonic test. The governorship of Ankara announced the test flight due to the sonic boom, which will occur at transonic speed.
According to the statement, Hurjet will take off from Mürted Air Station at 9:30 am local time and will land at the same station at 10:30. Hurjet was known to fly at 0.9 Mach previously. The aircraft is designed to fly at 1.4 Mach maximum speed.
