ASELSAN displayed the KORKUT 130/25 SB towed C-UAS system and renewed KORKUT 120/25 SB using 25 mm airburst at its outdoor booth during the IDEF25 exhibition.
Both the towed KORKUT 130/25 SB and the revised KORKUT 120/25 SB on Ejder Yalçın 4x4 using ATOM 25 airburst ammunition were unveiled during IDEF25.
The new configuration, KORKUT 130/25 SB, is towed by another vehicle instead of being mobile, presenting a lower cost option for situations where mobility is not considered a priority, like base defence.
Revision for KORKUT 120/25 SB
KORKUT 120/25 SB, unveiled at SAHA EXPO 2024, has undergone a revision of its sensors. Firstly, the AURA 200-G AESA radar has been replaced by a smaller AESA radar that is smaller than even KALKAN 050-G. Secondly, a second independent EO/IR system has been added. This could be taken as a form of cost management, as AURA 200-G might be somewhat overkill, considering the range of the 25 mm airburst weapon is 1000+ m.
KORKUT 130/25 SB shares the same AESA radar and weapon system as KORKUT 120/25 SB.
