A subsidiary of Bharat Forge Limited, Kalyani Strategic Systems Ltd. (KSSL) is exhibiting its artillery and maritime solutions at DEFEA 2025 in Athens, Greece. Among KSSL's newest platforms are sophisticated underwater systems, Garuda 105, and MArG 155.

Prominently shown at DEFEA 2025 are KSSL's premier artillery systems, the MArG 155 and Garuda 105. Designed for manoeuvrability and firepower, the MArG 155 is a flexible 155mm mounted gun platform offered in 39 and 45 calibre versions. Compatible with NATO-standard and in-service ammunition, the platform allows shoot-and-scoot operations and is mounted on a Kalyani 4x4 wheeled chassis. The platforms weigh 21.5 tonnes (39 calibre) and 23.5 tonnes (45 calibre).

Optimised for high-altitude, all-weather operations, the Garuda 105 is a lightweight 105mm/37 calibre mobile gun system.

Marine and Unmanned Systems

KSSL is also showcasing its marine capabilities at DEFEA 2025. Among the highlighted systems are:

A technology for mine detection and classification now in use with several navies, the Mine Reconnaissance Autonomous Underwater Vehicle (MRAUV).

A platform used for Anti-Submarine Warfare (ASW) training, the Expendable Underwater Target (EUT) mimics target characteristics for sonar operator drills.

Mobile Target Emulator (MTE): A submarine-deployable decoy system that mimics enemy submarines during ASW operations.

Expanding Ammunition Capabilities

Apart from platforms, KSSL is highlighting its ammunition solutions spanning from small weapons systems to marine and artillery munitions. Reinforcing its position as an artillery solutions supplier, the firm produces medium and large calibre ammunition.
