Karel showcases integrated battlefield network at SAHA Expo TurDef

Karel [BIST-KAREL] presented its integrated military communication architecture at SAHA Expo 2026, highlighting systems designed to connect personnel, combat vehicles, unmanned systems and command centres within a unified battlefield environment.

The company showcased its COM-BAT deployable private 5G network, COM-LINE in-vehicle communication gateway and MOBAT operational headset as part of a broader framework intended to support integrated battlefield operations from the tactical edge to headquarters level.

Modern military operations increasingly depend on uninterrupted data exchange between dispersed units, unmanned systems and command elements.

The systems reflect Karel’s broader effort to position itself as a provider of integrated battlefield communication system rather than a conventional military communication equipment supplier.

Karel framed the systems as part of a broader battlefield communication structure intended to connect tactical and operational units within a common operational environment.

The COM-BAT system was presented as a closed-loop private 5G network capable of operating in portable or vehicle-mounted configurations. According to the company, the system can integrate legacy radio networks through gateways, allowing existing communication assets to operate within the same operational framework.

COM-LINE is intended to unify communication between subsystems operating on different protocols inside and between vehicles, while MOBAT is designed to improve personnel-level situational awareness through active noise cancellation, 3D audio and uninterrupted connectivity with vehicles and command elements.

Rather than focusing on standalone devices, Karel presented the systems as part of a layered battlefield communication structure linking tactical users, platforms and command elements.
