MARLIN USV fitted with ÇAKIR compact cruise missiles and VENOM LR 30x113 mm revolver cannon is set to offer a new level of firepower among the Turkish USVs.
MARLIN USV is being exhibited in a new configuration with considerably more ASuW firepower at TEKNOFEST Mavi Vatan (Blue Homeland) 2025 İstanbul. The new configuration unveiled during IDEF’25, alongside a mockup, can be fitted with up to four ÇAKIR cruise missiles and is fitted with the VENOM LR 30x113 mm revolver cannon in place of STAMP 2L 12.7 mm RCWS. Additionally, the USV appears to be fitted with a datalink antenna for ÇAKIR missiles.
In addition to MARLIN, ULAQ 15 USV will be the other USV from Turkiye to use the ÇAKIR missile with a range of 150 km and different options for guidance and warhead.
So far, MARLIN USV has been fitted with the AREAS-2NC electronic warfare system of ASELSAN, KUZGUN KY surface-to-surface missiles from TÜBİTAK SAGE, and a KMC missile launcher from ROKETSAN. More payload options, like lightweight torpedoes and towed sonar, are planned.
