Professor Görgün is the founder of the Control and Automation Engineering Department at Yıldız Technical University. He has established a fully automated control system at ASELSAN. He will probably install a more developed version at SSB, where he can see all the industry developments.
Following his term, new developments have emerged, and others are expected. According to unconfirmed rumours, the head of the department, Corporate Management and Coordination Emin Asıltürk, Consultancy of Press and Public Relations Ali Kerem Eskigün, Private Office of the Defence Industry Agency Hamza Yasin Topçu are removed from duty. There are other developments expected concerning senior management. There are five vice presidents at SSB, and TurDef has learned that at least three vice presidents out of five are most likely to be changed. There has been no decision declared so far.
Following President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan's new appointments for the defence sector, new arrangements were made in the Turkish Armed Forces Foundation (TAFF) Board of Trustees.
The top management is also changed. New board members are Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz, Minister of National Defence Yaşar Güler, Commander of Turkish Armed Forces Musa Avsever and President of Defence Industries Professor Haluk Görgün.
Previously, Fuat Oktay, Hulusi Akar, Yaşar Güler and Professor İsmail Demir were in the management. It will not be a surprise if this wind of change affects TAFF company's management.
