Pakistan to add 10 CH-4 UCAVs from China worth $ 24 million

Following an Indian order to acquire the MQ-9 Reaper from General Atomics, Pakistan plans to add ten Caihong-4 (CH-4) UCAVs worth $24 million from China. The CH-4 has a payload capacity of 345 kg, a maximum take-off weight of 1,300 kg, a flight range of 40 hours and a cruising speed of 330 km/h. The drone can carry six munitions, including various missiles such as AR-1 and AR-2, 130 kg FT-7/130 air-to-ground munitions, GB-7/50 precision-guided munitions, and other weapons. The CH-4 can be equipped with Fully Authorised Digital Electronic Control (FADEC) for increased performance and an average time of 2,000 hours before overhaul. Pakistan previously purchased Bayraktar TB2 Armed UAVs and Akinci UCAVs from Turkiye. Turkish Aerospace and Pakistan’s NESCOM have signed a contract to develop an ANKA Male Armed UAV. This country also operates domestically made Shapar-II drones, Wing Loong II, and CH-4 from China.
