Russia Intercepts USVs from Helicopters

Russia introduced a new doctrine to intercept Ukrainian USVs in the Black Sea. Russian helicopters open fire on USVs, similar to ASW doctrine. A new video was leaked to social media from the intercepting scene. The machine gun mounted on the helicopter door intercepts the Ukrainian unmanned surface vehicle. This practice hints at new developments in the Russian-Ukrainian war in the Black Sea. Russia implicitly accepts that Ukrainian unmanned systems are very effective as offensive tools to attack the Russian Black Sea Fleet. The countermeasures from naval vessels are proven to be ineffective as they do not stop the attack. Russia uses helicopters similar to anti-submarine warfare (ASW) to hunt USVs. Very recently, a Ukrainian USV was spotted with an air-to-air missile. This also shows that helicopters patrol to intercept USVs, but they can become targets, too.
