A 28-person delegation from Poland, including the Secretary of State from MoD, Paweł Bejda, has visited TUSAŞ facilities and Özdemir Bayraktar Center.
Following Poland's acquirement of Bayraktar TB2 armed UAV, Poland is showing a continuation of interest in the visit to Turkiye's leading aerospace firms. The delegation's visit to TUSAŞ includes photographs of a talk between TUSAŞ and the Polish military personnel.
TUSAŞ has stated that the Polish delegation was informed about TUSAŞ's products and technical capabilities throughout the trip and meeting. The presence of a scaled KAAN fighter jet model hints at a talk on the new fighter with Poland.
Baykar, having sold its armed UAV to Poland, has likely held a similar event with TUSAŞ, most likely to inform the delegation about its newer products like the AKINCI UCAV and KIZILELMA unmanned fighter. Poland's eagerness to increase its firepower against Russia in the event of war has pushed the country into a rush of military equipment purchases.
An important portion of these purchases focused on filling the gaps, such as the Miecznik-class frigates set to be the most potent warships in the Polish Navy, K-239 MLRS, and F-35A fighters.
