By 2025, a new industrial complex spanning an area of 7000 square metres will be constructed in Tamil Nadu’s Defence Industrial Corridor. The project would serve both military and municipal functions. RENK will partner with Horizon Industrial Parks (Horizon), a prestigious developer owned and operated by Blackstone Real Estate Funds, to work on this project. During a groundbreaking ceremony, Andre Neumann, the CEO. of RENK Group’s Marine and Industrial business, Praveen Mohan, the Managing Director of R.E.N.K. Gears Pvt Ltd in India, and Urvish Rambhia, a Principal at Blackstone, officially declared the commencement of construction. Horizon owns and manages the extensive industrial complex called Shoolagiri Park, the designated location for constructing the new plant. Horizon will construct an office building, manufacturing facilities, and a storage facility for RENK Following the planned debut in the initial quarter of 2025, this facility will manufacture gearboxes, transmissions, and couplings for military and civilian applications. The groundbreaking ceremony represents a significant achievement in the RENK Group’s global expansion strategy, positioning the company closer to the strategically and commercially crucial Indo-Pacific region. Establishing the new manufacturing location would enable RENK to enhance its presence in the Indian market and streamline its global supply chains.
