Repkon, which established 155-mm artillery shell production lines for the U.S. Department of Defence, has signed a contract for a similar facility for Pakistan.
Turkish defence company Repkon, which participated in the IDEAS fair held in Pakistan, signed a contract to establish a 155-mm artillery ammunition body production and filling line with an annual production capacity of 120 thousand units.

It has been revealed that ammunition is depleting much faster than expected as the war between Russia and Ukraine continues. On the other hand, there is a concern that there will be a worldwide war. For this reason, defence industry spending and investments in many countries have increased. Countries that are searching to meet the needs of their armies prefer to invest in the establishment of new production facilities to minimize their dependence on foreign countries.
Efforts towards producing 155 mm artillery shells, among the most important fire support elements of land forces, have an important place in these searches.
Repkon attracts attention with its work in the metal forming sector, strategic products for the defence, aviation, and space industries, and capabilities in installing lines where these products are produced.
Repkon, which recently signed a contract in the U.S. to establish 155-millimeter artillery shell production lines for the Pentagon, has again signed a similar contract for 155 for Pakistan's needs. The U.S. Army recently awarded Repkon a contract to establish a TNT production line.
Repkon signed an agreement with Wah Industries Limited (WIL) to install a 155-millimeter artillery ammunition body production and filling line in Pakistan.
Within the scope of the signed contract, a highly automated turnkey line will be installed to produce 120 thousand 155-millimeter bodies per year. In accordance with this capacity, an explosive filling line will also be established.
WIL operates under the Pakistan Ordnance Factories, which is responsible for producing various weapons, ammunition and military hardware for the Pakistani Armed Forces and foreign customers.
