ROK Delivers K2 Black Panther Tank to Poland

Polish Defence Minister Mariusz Błaszczak announced a new batch delivery of the K2 Black Panther main battle tank on his social media account. Błaszczak wrote, “Another batch of modern weapons ordered from South Korea is already in Poland. This time, six K2 Black Panther tanks have arrived at the port of Gdynia and will soon be delivered to the 20th Mechanized Brigade. In total, the Polish Armed Forces already have 28 K2 tanks.”

Poland’s procurement of the K2 tanks began in 2022, with a purchase of 180 units for $1.5 billion. Poland also signed a contract with ROK for K9 Thunder howitzers and FA-50PL aircraft in July 2022. It is stated that Poland will receive 1000 tanks from Korea.
