ROKETSAN Joins MSPO 2024 in Poland to Display Solutions

ROKETSAN has displayed some of its newer munition systems in Poland's MSPO 2024 defence exhibition. MAM-L IIR and MAM-T IIR with folding wings are at the forefront of ROKETSAN's booth as the next generation of the MAM smart munition family.

MAM-L IIR and MAM-T IIR have been test-fired from Bayraktar AKINCI UCAV in the first few months of 2024 with a feed demonstration from the IIR seekers.

Compared to the baseline variants' laser seeker, the IIR seeker has a greater autonomy of engagement and allows for longer ranges thanks to no need for laser designation.

ROKETSAN has additionally developed a TV seeker version of MAM-L as a cheaper alternative and close to the test-firing of the dual-mode MAM-T with a seeker combining IIR and TV. MAM-L IIR ranges 25+ km (Versus baseline 15 km) while the winged MAM-T IIR can fly farther at 50+ km (Versus 30 km). Other munitions on exhibition include SUNGUR MANPADS (With launcher); KARAOK and UMTAS ATGMs; TEBER-82 laser+GPS guidance kit; TRLG-122, TRLG-230, and TRG-300 artillery missiles.

The firm's MDK fuse/guidance kit for 155 mm artillery shells was also put on display. The kit, which FIRTINA SPGs have recently tested, corrects the course using shifting airbrakes. The kit can receive correction data mid-flight and is resistant to jamming to operate in GPS-denied environments or other GNSS systems. Reducing the deviation from the target to less than 50 m, the kit also brings four modes of fusing (Impact, delayed, proximity, and timed).
