Sweden bought Milrem’s THeMIS Cargo unmanned ground vehicle (UGV) to test the potential of robotic systems in modern warfare. The Swedish Defence Materiel Administration (FMV), the Swedish Defence Research Agency, and the Swedish Armed Forces will all test the Tracked Hybrid Modular Infantry System (THeMIS) Cargo from Estonian Milrem Robotics.
Three institutions will test THeMIS through simulated and real-world settings.
FMV and Milrem Robotics Sweden signed this deal at Eurosatory 2024.
The cargo version of the UGV has the company's MIFIK intelligent functions kit, which allows for autonomous mobility.
