T625 GÖKBEY has received its certification for civilian use from the Turkish Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure, paving the way for market expansion.
Following its entry into service with the Turkish Gendarmerie, TUSAŞ’s T625 GÖKBEY utility helicopter has reached a milestone for its introduction to civilian service with the certification from the Turkish Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure.
With this certification, T625 GÖKBEY is cleared to carry passengers as a civilian aircraft.
This paves the way for Turkiye’s first utility helicopter’s wide-scale introduction, as civilian use carries great significance for not only local needs but also the potential in the export market.
T625 GÖKBEY can be utilised as a VIP transport, SAR helicopter, cargo helicopter, firefighter, and an ambulance for civilian use.
Aside from T625 GÖKBEY’s platform certification, the work is ongoing for the certification of the indigenous TS1400 turboshaft engine in accordance with civilian aviation regulations. TEI's TS1400 engine will succeed the CTS800 turboshaft engines used for initial production units.
