Held on the 6th of August 2024, the second SSİK meeting's decisions include unmanned platforms and air defence systems as the main headlines. Among the most important headlines are ÇELİK KUBBE (Steel Dome literally) network-centric air defence system, counter-unmanned systems, and quantum technologies.

ASELSAN has exhibited its layered and network-centric air defence system GÖKKUBBE (Skydome), which will combine the existing and future air defence systems of various coverages in FIA 2024. The presentation also included a Turkish datalink to be used in the GÖKKUBBE system, which likely has a similar function to Link-16/22. It hasn't been stated if ÇELİK KUBBE is the new name for Gökkubbe.

It has been stated that acquisitions for Bayraktar TB3, AKSUNGUR, and AKINCI UCAVs have been decided on. STOL-capable Bayraktar TB3 is nearing take-off tests from TCG ANADOLU LHD (L-400) after successful ground-based ski-jump tests.

Conversely, AKSUNGUR and AKINCI UCAVs will likely receive additional orders from the Air Force and the Navy. Another important decision has been made regarding defence systems to counter kamikaze UAVs and USVs. While jammers and grenade launchers/autocannons with air-burst munition are agreed upon as C-UAS solutions, the ongoing exploration of solutions against USV threats demonstrates the thoroughness of the defence strategy. The asymmetric nature and agility of the kamikaze USVs necessitate a constant coverage of both sensors and effectors.

Currently, naval RCWS and short-range missiles have a level of emphasis placed on them due to relatively lower operating costs and ease of integration. Lastly, the establishment of infrastructure for quantum technologies is a promising step towards the future.

This decision signals a commitment to continue developing previously announced quantum radar and quantum LIDAR prototypes. Quantum-based sensors are envisioned to offer resistance against clutter, jamming, and low-observable targets, instilling optimism about the future of defence technology. There was no mention of the TF-2000 Air Defence Destroyer, and there is a mention of the Kaan indigenous fighter without any detail.
