The US House of Representatives Passes Legislation to Increase President Biden's Record Defence Budget

On Thursday, the United States House of Representatives passed legislation authorizing $37 billion in additional spending on top of President Joe Biden's proposed record $773 billion defence budget. 

By a vote of 329-101, the House approved its version of the National Defence Authorization Act (NDAA), which establishes policy for the Pentagon. The Senate has yet to pass its version, but the Senate Armed Services Committee has already supported a $45 billion increase over President Biden's proposal.Recently, pro-Greek Senators amended the NDAA to include restrictions on F-16 fighter sales to Turkiye.
