TRAKON Pasts C-UAS Tests for Future OPV Deployment Turdef

UNIROBOTICS has completed tests of its counter-unmanned aerial system, TRAKON, designed specifically for off-shore patrol vessels and modern combat needs.

UNIROBOTICS, a Samsun Yurt Savunma (SYS) Group subsidiary, has successfully completed tests of its Counter-Unmanned Aerial System (C-UAS), TRAKON.

To counter the rising threats posed by unmanned aerial and naval vehicles, TRAKON combines the expertise of SYS Group companies, including the renowned CANiK M2 QCB heavy machine gun. Turkish Defence Ministry has selected TRAKON TARGAN as the close-in weapon system for the HISAR class Off-Shore Patrol Vessels (OPV).

Key Features of TRAKON:

Comprehensive Threat Neutralisation: Radar integration allows it to detect and neutralise a wide range of drone and unmanned surface threats.

Combat Management Integration: Compatible with various Combat Management Systems (CMS), offers automated target tracking, engagement planning, and threat prioritisation.

Precision Targeting: High-resolution daytime and thermal cameras, paired with a laser rangefinder, ensure accuracy across long ranges.

UNIROBOTICS General Manager Ömür Baç emphasised the system’s effectiveness:

“TRAKON, equipped with the CANiK M2 QCB, is an innovative solution for countering unmanned aerial and naval threats. It reflects our commitment to addressing the evolving needs of end-users in modern combat scenarios.”
