Pakistan continues to invest in the navy. The country, which is having issues with India in the region, is acquiring two new offshore patrol vessels from Damen. Steel cutting and keel laying ceremony for two new vessels was held at Damen Shipyard Galati Facilities in Romania. Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Amjad Khan Niazi also attended the event. Pakistan Navy currently operates PNS Yarmook (271) and PNS Tabook (272) OPVs from Damen.
The Ivorian Navy accepted the delivery of a second-hand P400 54.8 meters Offshore Patrol Vessel, Contre Amiral Fadika, from France.
