Turkiye Cuts Trade Relations with Israel

Turkish Ministry of Trade announces that Turkiye is suspending all exports and imports to and from Israel. Trade between Israel and Turkiye was valued at $6.8 billion in 2023, with 76% of the amount being exports from Turkiye. The Ministry of Trade reported that the second phase of the measures taken at the state level has begun, and export and import transactions related to Israel have been stopped, covering all products. The Ministry stated that export and import transactions related to Israel have been stopped, covering all products, and added: "Turkiye will strictly and decisively implement these new measures until the Israeli Government allows the flow of uninterrupted and sufficient humanitarian aid to Gaza." The Ministry has previously stopped the trade on 54 items, but the decision was criticised under the claim of selling products eligible for military use that far.
