Turkish Defence Company Arca will export 155mm howitzer ammunition and explosive materials to the U.S. The U.S. will acquire 116 thousand units of ammunition.
According to Bloomberg, The Pentagon will supply 166 thousand pieces of 155mm howitzer ammunition from Arca Defence, a Turkish defence industry company. All the ammunition will be delivered to the Pentagon this year, and additional orders will be placed next year.
On the other hand, according to officials, the U.S. also targets the supply of trinitrotoluene, known as TNT, and nitroguanidine, used as a propellant, from Turkiye. This will be the second acquisition of 155 mm shell bodies from Turkiye. The first will be the establishment of production lines for General Dynamics Ordnance and Tactical Systems.
