TUSAŞ’s Malaysia subsidiary is contributing to the production of ANKA-III stealth UCAV and HÜRJET advanced trainer for the important structural sections.
TUSAŞ Malaysia’s contributions to ANKA-III and HÜRJET production have been photographed by Malaysia-based defence reporter Ed Liew. The photos show the new TUSAŞ Malaysia subsidiary’s share in the production of important structural parts.
ANKA-III’s control surfaces (Elevons and wingtip rudders) and topside composite fairings are produced by TUSAŞ Malaysia, while HÜRJET share includes hardpoints, wing boxes, leading edge flaps, and wingtip sections.
ANKA-III, following the tests of refined configurations in 2026, will soon enter serial production with 50+ orders from the Turkish Air Force anticipated by TUSAŞ. The stealthy UCAV has completed various tests, including internal weapon bay tests and dropping of the SÜPER ŞİMŞEK multirole UAV.
On the other hand, HÜRJET’s service launches for the Turkish Air Force and the Spanish Air and Space Force are set for 2027 and 2028, respectively. First to be introduced as an advanced trainer to succeed older models, HÜRJET is envisioned to evolve towards other configurations, such as aerobatics aircraft and light combat aircraft. TUSAŞ and the Turkish Navy DPO are also discussing a HÜRJET derivative that is understood to involve radical changes for operations from the MUGEM aircraft carrier alongside the KIZILELMA unmanned fighter for air combat missions.
