Turkish engine maker TEI secures a new deal with the U.S. Navy to maintain LM2500 power turbine modules, reinforcing its role in naval propulsion support.
TEI CEO Mahmut F. Akşit stated that TEI had won another tender for the maintenance work of GE Aerospace LM2500 marine gas turbine engines used on ships.
Constructions of the MILDEN submarine, TF-2000 air defence destroyer, and the MUGEM aircraft carrier were launched alongside the new year for the Turkish Navy.
The Turkish Aircraft Carrier MUGEM is currently being designed in the Project Design Office.
The conceptual design phase of the Turkish aircraft carrier, MUGEM, has been completed. TRT has reported that the DPO moves towards the detailed design phase.
GE Aerospace has agreed with STM -TAIS to supply LM2500 marine gas turbines for the İstif-Class frigates.
