Turkish engine maker TEI secures a new deal with the U.S. Navy to maintain LM2500 power turbine modules, reinforcing its role in naval propulsion support.

The U.S. Navy has given Turkiye's engine maker TEI a new contract to do depot-level maintenance on the power turbine modules of LM2500 gas turbine engines. This new contract, which was signed in the second quarter of 2025, has a maximum value of $67.5 million. It follows a 2024 contract for the depot-level maintenance of the LM2500 gas generator modules, which had a maximum value of $45.6 million.

The firm does all of the LM2500 maintenance and repairs at its facilities in Eskişehir. This helps not just the Turkish Navy but also the U.S. Navy, which has the world's biggest fleet of LM2500-powered ships.
