Baykar Questions the validity of Canadian Arms Embargo

The manufacturer of TB2 UAVs, Baykar Savunma, replied to Canadian Arms Embargo by questioning its effectiveness in Turkish Defence market with the portfolio.

The technical manager of Baykar Savunma Selçuk Bayraktar, said in sum; Embargoes have existed for years since we first started this business. But none of them could stop us. Bayraktar also stated that Canada stopped selling a payload used at UAV. Turkey, however, has combat-proven armed UAV along with four other countries. Canada is not one of them. Canada plans to acquire such a system. Canadian action does not create a problem for us as we already have a Turkish equivalent. All critical technologies for our UAV"s are locally produced. If Turkey does not sell UAV to Canada, this would be a problem. Canada produces no UAV, so what technology have they embargoed?
