Öktem noted that their strategic roadmap is to opening up to different sectors and growing in foreign markets. He said, “KoçSavunma evaluated 2020 efficiently in terms of both domestic activities and export opportunities. During this period, we successfully initiated the processes of promoting our products and generating solutions with various ministries and institutions.”
KoçSavunma declared that the company would continue to develop products in the fields needed in Turkey and to compete with the world in 2021. In line with its 2021 strategic goals, KoçSavunma is prioritizing the initiatives in different sectors this year and plans to increase its activities such as participating to expos in global markets.”
KoçSavunma signed a contract for the use of the Underwater Phone on a foreign naval ship in 2020. The contract for the sale of an English menu Underwater Phone to another foreign ship entered into force at the beginning of 2021. The underwater telephone is an all microprocessor-controlled system, which provides communication between submarines and vessels through underwater acoustic waves.
Aiming to add new sectors to its portfolio, KoçSavunma observes the seawater quality of Turkey’s most important tourist areas in the Gulf of Fethiye with sonobuoys.
KoçSavunma has completed the membership procedures for the international IALA (International Association of Marine Aids to Navigation and Lighthouse Authorities) and SAHA Istanbul (Defence Aviation and Space Cluster Association) in Istanbul as a company that develops smart buoy systems in 2020.
KoçSavunma continues its activities to position its products and services firmly on a global scale. Especially after the approval of IALA membership, KoçSavunma carefully monitors the opportunities to open abroad for the Diver Detection Sonar product, which is indispensable for the homeland’s underwater safety and critical facilities.Export opportunities are expected to come to life in 2021 for products like Underwater Phone, Diver Detection Sonar and Ship Integrated Information System.
