METEKSAN Exports Damage Control Simulator to Indonesia

The Indonesian Navy has announced the delivery of METEKSAN’s ship, Damage Control Simulator (DCSIM), to train the crews. Turkish Ambassador to Indonesia, Talip Küçükcan, has stated that the Indonesian Navy has started using the simulator system. METEKSAN’s DCSIM has been preferred by five export customers, including the ROK Navy. DCSIM serves as a crucial tool in the Indonesian Navy’s training arsenal. It provides a realistic environment for shipboard personnel to develop and conduct damage control exercises, enhancing their readiness. The system offers a standardised training platform, from basic to advanced levels, with a range of settings. The adjustable parameters include training for individuals or teams, roll simulation, and water leaks from different directions. The system can also simulate obstructions such as flooding and smoke.
