The UAE Modernises HARM Systems

The U.S. has approved a potential sale of HARM Control Section Modification Upgrade and related equipment to UAE for an estimated cost of $144 million. The State Department has approved a potential Foreign Military Sale (FMS) to the United Arab Emirates of a High-Speed Anti-Radiation Missile (HARM) Control Section Modification (HCSM) Upgrade and related equipment for a cost of $144 million. The UAE has sought to purchase up to 149  HARM Control Section Modification WCU-33/B(HCSM) upgrade kits. The anticipated overall cost is $144 million. The Defence Security Cooperation Agency (DSCA) provided the necessary certification informing Congress of the probable sale. The proposed sale will strengthen the UAE's ability to confront existing and future threats by increasing its ability to defend its national borders and bolstering air-to-surface defensive capabilities. The main contractor will be RTX Corporation.

FNSS
