Turkish Defence Minister Yasar Guler confirmed that Ankara has no plans to transfer the S-400 air defence missile system to any other country.
Speaking in a television interview, Minister Güler answered a question about recent rumours about the S-400 system.
“Transferring the S-400 to any country is impossible,” Minister Guler said.
Turkiye’s relations with the U.S. are developing, and the U.S. does not want a NATO country to possess an S-400 system. On the other hand, Ukraine needs air defence systems to protect its territories against Russia. In Turkiye, transferring such systems to Ukraine is seen as killing two birds with one stone.
