The BAE Systems company launched its newest Armoured Multi-Purpose Vehicle (AMPV) prototype At the AUSA 2024 Global Force Symposium at the Von Braun Centre. BAE Systems has presented a new version of its AMPV (Armoured Multi-Purpose Vehicle). This is the combat version with an unmanned UT-30 turret from the Elbit America, with a 30 mm automatic cannon. The showcased prototype offers the External Mission Equipment Package (ExMEP), a versatile integration platform that facilitates seamless technology upgrades across AMPV variants. ExMEP's adaptability stands out from its compatibility with more than 30 turret systems, offering a modular approach for rapidly integrating new mission roles. The vehicle offers increased interior volume, strength, and survivability to meet the challenges of modern warfare. BAE Systems displayed five basic AMPV variants, including troop transport, multi-purpose vehicle, mission command, mortar carrier and medical evacuation vehicle. The US Army has selected the AMPV as a replacement for the M-113A3.
