Turkish Private TAIS Shipyards will construct two Large Patrol Crafts, LPC-65, for the Indonesian Navy (TNI-AL). Even though it is named patrol craft, the vessel will feature a 76mm gun, a dual 35mm gun turret, two 12.7mm STAMP remote weapon stations (RWS), and a Roketsan ASW rocket launcher. The vessel may have eight ATMACA anti-ship missiles (AShMs) or prefer French Exocets.

The TNI-AL operates some twenty Fast Attack Crafts (FAC). Most FACs are lightly armed, carrying two AShMs each. The most advanced Sampari class (KCR 60Ms) FACs are equipped with four Chinese C-705 AShMs, a 40mm or 57mm main gun, a 30mm NG-18 close-in weapons system (CIWS) and two 20mm guns for close-in defence.TAIS Constructs LPC for IndonesiaThe primary mission of TAIS’ ships will be to conduct Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) Operations. They will operate in a tropical environment and conduct border patrols, territorial defence and maritime operations in littoral waters of the Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ). It will execute ASuW, AAW and ASW missions.
